It’s been a few days since the Orlando terrorist attack and tragic loss of life that we all witnessed being broadcast on the news just a few days ago. Let me just say first that this truly is tragic and my heart breaks for those family’s that have been effected by this blatant act of evil.
As always there is a storm of biased reporting, political angles, pointing fingers, opinions and counter punches being thrown out as if everyone has a solution. It’s becoming routine and almost status quo and yet almost no one is talking about the real problem or the real solution.
As I turned on to some christian programming to get their take on what was going on and to listen to the response that they had for the world I became very disheartened. Not so much as what was being said but for what was not being said. The things being said mostly, should be said, being a light (the Lord’s light) is important. Showing God’s love is also important. But I have to say as one who sometimes thinks he is a sole voice crying in the wilderness (which I know I’m not). The truth is being held back. I’m not even talking watered down here, it’s blatantly and I believe purposely being held back.
Okay, now I’m ready to reveal the problem. Are you ready? Maybe you should sit down for this one (sarcasm is intended). SIN ! ! ! Imagine that my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Sin is a problem in our generation. Who would of thunk it? (sarcasm still intended). How can we really say we love everyone and our thoughts and prayers are with you, by the way that’s exactly what the world says as well, if we don’t let them know that there really is a way out of this. REPENT, REPENT, REPENT….Turn from the sin that is allowing God’s judgment to fall on our country. Remember 2 Chronicles 7:14? Look it up if you can’t remember. It’s good to do a little homework sometimes. I know some of you will take that wrong as if I’m saying God told the gunman to do this. That’s not what I’m saying. This man certainly herd a voice but it wasn’t God’s voice. You probably are saying by now that I’m bigoted because it was gays he was targeting. From what the news was saying the gunman was himself gay. Don’t know how true that is but it was reported.
Even so, no matter his motivation, no matter his targets, no matter anything else you might think of, sin was and is the problem for both the terrorist and the victims. Unfortunately I’m talking to the “church” here. I’m sorry to say I use that term loosely. I expect the world to act the way it does as they have not yet been enlightened by the truth (Jesus).
I’m going to say it as effectively as I know how, to shorten this up. It is our privilege and responsibility to proclaim the full gospel (any other gospel even watered down ones are not the truth) the word says “let him be accursed” he is not from God. (Gal.1:9). 2 Tim.4:2 says. “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction.”
God is good church, we all know that. He is full of love, grace and mercy. Praise the Lord. But the Word also says “He is the same yesterday, today and forever”Heb.13:8. God hates sin (not the sinner). He is patient and long suffering. But the thing we often times forget is that He is Holy, He is Just, He is Righteous!!! He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sin. He destroyed the earth with a flood because of their sin and corruption. He has judged sin countless times since man has walked this earth.
Vengeance is the Lord’s. Rom.12:19. That’s new testament church. Because of these characteristics and because grace is not a free-for-all or license to sin. Remember He said His grace “is sufficient”(not to be abused). He is and will continue to make judgments on our nation and on the world until and/or if we REPENT or are destroyed. We are living in the days that God’s anger is building into wrath, which He will pour out on the ungodly (still because of His love for us).
2Tim.2:15 says “Do your best to present yourself unto God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who CORRECTLY handles the word of truth” the next verse says “Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly”.
Come out of the world church and be separated from it (2Cor.6:17). Maybe then you can clearly see. Jesus is coming soon and will call us all to account. Do not be ashamed of the gospel or His name (Jesus) what a wonderful name He has given us to use in authority. The ONLY NAME that brings salvation.
Thank you heavenly Father for giving me these words to speak by your Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me salvation and victory, authority, power, grace, love and more and more and more, to be “more than a conqueror” in you Rom.8:37.
He loves us so much church. Do you love Him? Then keep His commandments. May God be praised and glorified through this post. May it be effective and may it be heard through out the world!
Love in Christ,

Of Kings and Prophets is the title of an “epic series premiering Tuesday, March 15th,” at 9:00 P.M. Central time on ABC (if you can tear lose from the election results?).
Around 3,000 years ago the Twelve Tribes of Israel decided they had put up with the repeatedly vicious attacks of neighboring Kings long enough, and began demanding a King of their own.
The prophet Samuel found himself struggling with the people on the one hand and with God on the other. To pacify the people, Saul was anointed as Israel’s first king.
King Saul soon faced struggles of his own between the ongoing wars, the prophet Samuel, and his envious relationship with David, the young shepherd boy he had at first welcomed into the royal family.
It is one of the most riveting stories of world history. You can read it in the Bible in 1 Samuel, and compare how accurately the series may portray the historical facts of the Bible.
Do we the people of America today somehow resemble the Biblical story? Are we possibly preparing to welcome a Dictator-President? I truly have to wonder. PRAYER, PLEASE!
As I sit here and write this message I am somewhat in shock, saddened and stunned by the things that are happening in our country. I’m even more shocked at the things being reported today about the many “so called” churches and denominations who have praise for and give blessings to the organization or dare I say the death factory called Planned Parenthood.
On June 26th of this year I also felt the same pit of disgust and sorrow in my soul as our nation legalized sodomy and debauchery to be the law of the land. These along with a scroll’s long list of other sins our nation is deeply given into will soon bring a swift and mighty hand of judgment against America. God has surely given over our country to a reprobate mind. For far too long we “the church” have turned a blind eye to these things under the guise of showing love, grace and forgiveness. When was it that we sold out to the idea that we were “not” to speak the truth in love? Who taught us that when injustice is before us and sin is so blatantly proclaimed and acted out in front of us that we are supposed to look away as nothing has happened. Is it because we are afraid to look like those “Christians” who say God hates gays and the like. Which we know to be a lie anyway as we all know God hates sin but loves the sinner. Is it because we think it not to be good manners to bring up anything that doesn’t sound like what the world wants to hear? Is it because we are afraid of controversy? Is it because we are just plain AFRAID?
2Timothy 1:7 says. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Where’s the power? Where’s the love? Where’s the sound mind?
Jesus said in Mark 8:38. “If anyone is ashamed of me and my “words” in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
Church, it’s far past time to wake up. Jesus is soon to step out on the clouds to gather His bride. Time is way to short to be going along with the status quo.
WAKE UP! WAKE UP! And again I say WAKE UP!
Jude 1:22 & 23 says. “Be merciful to those who doubt, save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear-hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.”
Isaiah 5:20 & 21 says. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
1 Timothy 4:1 says. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
It’s time to speak what the Word of God says, the “Good News” so that true love may accomplish God’s will and that men might be saved because of it. Not idly sit by and watch our neighbors go to hell.
Jesus tells us in the Great Commission in Matthew 28: 19. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Please understand that this is the “Good News” and it’s our great pleasure to deliver it to mankind to the glory of God.
May God’s shalom and grace be upon you and may you proclaim His word from the mountain tops….
Love in Christ, Pastor Don Wynn.
